White Evening Primrose is a biennial native from California to the Rocky Mountains. It grows to a height of 35.5 cm (14 in.). The large, fragrant flowers are white, tinged with lavender and bloom from May to September. Evening primrose can form large clumps and is useful as a soil binder. It also tolerates salt spray and can be planted in coastal areas.
Broadcast seed 0.6 cm (¼ in.) deep. Planting should be done in either spring or the fall.
